Owen O’Neill

Owen has been performing stand-up comedy for twenty eight years and has performed all over the World. His speciality, outside of the comedy circuit, is the one man show, once described by Time Out as Stand-up theatre. Owen was one of the first to embrace this genre being heavily influenced by Spalding Gray and Eric Bogosian. He has won several awards for these shows including a Perrier nomination and two Fringe Firsts at The Edinburgh Festival. He has guested on Late Night with Conan O’Brien and did his own one-man run of plays at the West Beth theatre in New York, in a season of BBC America sponsored shows with the League of Gentlemen and Bill Bailey. He has also starred in his own BBC 2 special, taking over the Stand-Up show with a solo performance. His sit-com, The Fitz was aired on BBC 2 in 1999.
