As a stand-up Brendan has played the Just For Laughs festival in Montreal, Edinburgh, Melbourne, Adelaide, Kansas, Finland and The Cat Laughs in Kilkenny.
His career has taken him to the far and Middle East performing throughout Europe, America, & Southern Africa. He was the first comedian to perform in Qingdao China, and continues to play the circuit.
Brendan started working with the Dublin Comedy Improv in 1992, becoming a full member in 1994 until he left for London ten years later. In that time he worked and workshopped with members of internationally renowned improv groups such as Second City, The Comedy Store Players, TheatreSports and Boom Chicago. As part of the Dublin Comedy Improv he devised and recorded two series of The Comedy Improv Radio Show for RTE, and worked with ReadCo. on long-form improvisation. This resulted in several stage shows including the improvised soap opera St. Aguna’s, and The Living Space, where he was part of a spoof radical site specific theatre company.
Since coming to London, Brendan has co-founded LCi (The London Comedy improv), and guests regularly with the Comedy Store Players at The Comedy Store London and further afield. He was invited to perform with them on the 25th anniversary of their first ever show.
